The district lost GOP voters in their realigning some to adjacent districts to help them. So it was not close.
Bingo, the midterms are not going to be good.
Trump won that district by 22 points.
As I mentioned before, the NEW Trump voters, the people who became Republicans recently, because of Trump, are not that motivated to vote when Trump is not on the ballot.
We have a lot work to do to make sure they show up en masse next November and every election thereafter!

Still of the Left thinks an 8-10 (we don’t know final margins yet) loss is a victory, then I wish them many more such victories.
A year from now is an eternity and Trump will be getting out the vote to keep the movement alive.

Mid-terms are historically horrible for the party in power. Trump tried his best last time, but the Republicans lost 40 seats in Trump’s last midterms.
The past does not predict the future.
Yup—the last time an incumbent party gained House seats in an off year congressional election was 2002—and that was W just two months after 9-11.
Btw—that negative trend goes all the way back to World War II.
If we hold the Congress in 2026 it will be like holding a winning lottery ticket.
