Yep, that government supported rent payment for ‘migrants’ prevents young people from affordable housing. Two possible solutions:

1. Stop funding of illegals
2. Blame the rich not paying enough taxes.

Which choice would our supposed well educated democrats make?

Why does the media never make the distinction between LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigrants.

As usual, the media blurs an important distinction causing confusion.

Not just the media, the “catholic church” is doing the exact same thing. Zero distinction between law abiding and otherwise.

There was not anything like a housing shortage during the era when millions of immigrants came from Europe from 1840 to 1920 and when millions of internal migrants came from rural areas, especially those in the South, to the industrial cities. That was because there was a free market in the construction of housing.

I fully support President Trump's efforts to stop illegal immigration and to expel those who are here illegally. Obviously, if millions of illegals leave the country, housing and jobs will become available. The long term issue of housing for the native born and legal immigrants needs a solution. The free market is far more efficient than government and if not restrained except where public safety is involved, the laws of supply and demand will
