I live in Central Texas and this is the first I’ve heard about it. I listen to talk radio and this is the sort of story the local talkers would have put out immediately if there was a hint of it. For unknown reasons, this story was buried. I hope it was so police could round up everyone involved with that house of horror.

A search yields that the Austin American-Statesman received details from the Austin Police Department and published a story. But the story broke nationally around November 5.
I have the radio on almost continually at home and in the car and this is the first I’ve read about it.
You say that as though it’s a bad thing.
I wish there was a way we could just cut out Austin like a piece of yard sod, and drop it somewhere far away out in the middle of Death Valley where it belongs.
We used to have mental institutions where people with these kind of problems were sent and kept.

I think we should chalk this up to cultural differences, vow to remember our personal biases and priveledges, apologise, and open our homes and communities to vibrant newcomers such as these.

During the presidential campaign, Tim Walz and others said how JD Vance was weird.
So calling people or places weird , per the liberals own criteria , is not a positive thing.
They talk of her having mental health issues.
