As a mild example: I work as an arborist, if my company got a $30,000 contract to do work at Flintheart Glomgold’s mansion, we would not care if the check for the work was written on an account belonging to Flintheart or Glomgold Industries. The tax Accountant does.
Yes, that one of the activities you expect when taxes are to high and people are avoiding them. Laffer curve. NY has so many taxes, people are avoiding economic growth, reporting, how they report, and fleeing. All that destroys the tax base and decreases tax revenue.
