LOL!. My father was of draft age when WW2 ended but was still expecting some form of notice.
His father, my name sake barely survived St. Mihiel in Sept. 9 and The Meuse Argonne in November 1918 for these people and over 00 years later they're still ungrateful and resentfully expecting to come to their aid again because of something alled "The Special Relationship''.
Sorry I made a typo, my bad . My Grandfather, my dad’s father served in the American Expeditionary Force as a sergeant and saw many terrible things ‘’over there’’. AS kids were were told by our parents Grandpop fought in the war and we don’t talk about it!’’ . War is just a waste.
