Republicans Have a Young Voter Problem
National Review ^ | November 9, 2025 | Becket Adams

Posted on 11/10/2025 2:14:34 PM PST by MinorityRepublican

Millions of words have been devoted to investigating the Democratic Party’s recent “young men” problem, as it has hemorrhaged support from male voters aged 18 to 29.

But on the other side of the aisle is the less-discussed fact that the Republican Party is enduring a more severe version of the Democrats’ demographic crisis: the GOP has lost an even greater share of female voters under 30.

Even less discussed is the fact that while Democrats are struggling, albeit pitifully, to win back young men, the right doesn’t seem to realize the seriousness of its own predicament, much less have a plan to fix it.

I suppose when you’re already used to surrendering voting blocs, as the Republican Party practically has in past elections with black and, to a lesser extent, Jewish voters, losing one more probably feels more a matter of routine than a sign of impending doom. (Indeed, one likely reason that so much more attention has been paid to the Democrats’ loss of young men is that, unlike the GOP, the Democratic Party is not one to lose entire groups of voters.)

Yet, considering that there are eight million more registered female voters than male voters in the United States, and considering that of the overall number of female voters, the 10 percent to 12 percent that fall into the 18-to-29 age bracket are much more politically active than men their age, Republicans cannot afford to accept defeat on this front. Democrats, in some cases, can afford to lose young men and make up the difference with their more politically engaged female counterparts. Republicans have no such cushion.

Considering the amount of brain-fornication that is BIGGLY one-sided...I’m actually surprised the numbers aren’t a lot worse.

Psyops.

The "young" vote is migrating towards Turning Point and Trump.

The "young" vote that the left is measuring is a minority vote, and they're not as "young" as they used to be.

The effectiveness of the late Charlie Kirk was that he had a great following with young white men.

Gen Z is only 51% white.

So Charlie Kirk was effective with young people of all races and yes both genders.

Would you suggest I/we lie to them?

Should we become leftists in red capes?

Lots of us old farts simply learned the hard and long way that the USA is truly the land of opportunity and you’re far better served getting busy, taking responsibility, and benefitting from that.

You think those of us who grew up in the world of hyperinflation, then stagflation, etc didn’t have moments of questioning whether the “American Dream” was over? Hell, in my teenage years? That’s *ALL* you heard.

I absolutely do NOT sneer at youth - but I do very much sneer at the idea that *Government* is the solution.

Good ole NR, official spokesperson of the RINO GOP. You know, the party that stands for nothing but managing the decline.

NR longs for the day when Trump single so they can get back to telling us Mike Pence is the real conservative.

And so, they look at the past election, since it went badly for our side, and treat it like it is the only election. What’s that you say? Trump did great with the youth vote? NR has never heard of it. No no, the GOP has a problem (implied to be because of Trump). See, we told you Trump was bad!! Pence Haley 2028!!

And let me add, if the left thought the youth vote was securely in their camp, they wouldn’t have killed Charlie.

GOP can get evangelicals to make up the difference. Not simple, but they have to try. Bringing Lara Trump back to the dysfunctional RNC would be a start.

have a plan to fix it
/

Charlie Kirk’s assination will wake alot of young people up that the Democrats amd socialists, communists Marxist atheists are the Tyrants that aren’t open minded and will literally murder you if you don’t submit to their ideology to their satisfaction.

Even the Dems see how AOC just got backstabbed in her front for not being

” politically reliable”.

This will go a long way to “ fixing” the drop in young people voting Republican, or more accurately, America First .

If the “ drop” is even a fact and not just gaslighting, which it most likely is or they wouldn’t be gaslighting.

Whatever the National Review recommends, do the exact opposite. Taking advice from a never-Trump rag with 17 readers would be pretty stupid

They blew it this past year by doing nothing of substance—that didn’t include sending money and bombs overseas.

T Beckett Adams is one of those intellectual conservative think tank types that will say they have a problem and then actually offer zero solutions.
