The problem with nuking the filibuster is that feckless Republicans won't do a damn thing with all of that awesome power once they have it.

There are other problems with nuking the filibuster. Problems named Collins, Murkowski, McConnell, Paul, et al. There aren't necessary 51 conservative Senate votes to be had on any particular issue.

We'll nuke the filibuster and then expend every last bit of energy arguing over how many inches we need to fellate Israel and then scratch our heads when unrepentant communists get elected in every major US metropolis.
