The fight around Pokrovsk is between small infantry units because both sides' drones dominate the battlefield and vehicles can't reach it. Russia has been trying to take Pokrovsk for almost two years now. Russia is also having trouble maintaining the pincer on the northeast, so they may gain Pokrovsk but simply shift the salient to the northeast.

The EU big talkers who are shunning any meaningful peace negotiations to keep the war alive have dug down deep between the couch cushions of their failing and increasingly bankrupt economies to find 2 billion euros of loose change for Ukraine.

As far as the 7k dead per week goes, as long as Ukraine keeps the ratio above 5:1, they win. My great-grandfather spent 4 years in WWI. On a single day in August 1914 when the bulk of the armies met, France lost 24K KIA in a single day. They still won.
No one cares about Russia or the ukraine.
There is no "good guy" in that fight. I root for the little guy who was invaded by the neighborhood bully, not because he's good, but because FAIR is FAIR.
I am rooting for the country that had many of it citizens taken from their homeland, given to their hostile neighbor, then flooded with foreigners, told to vote if they want to go back to their homelands, had the vote fail because of all the foreigners, then attacked by that hostile host nation.
