There’s no getting around it: Our "corporate media" is down on capitalism, and a new poll showing a growing disdain for the foundation of American economic thought shows the media tilt may be working -- or the professorial tilt.
An NBC News poll of 1,000 registered voters found that support for capitalism fell under 50 percent for the first time in seven years. The chilling shift “comes as some democratic socialists, like New York mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani, gain prominence in the Democratic Party,” NBC News national politics reporter Ben Kamisar wrote in his November 2 item. Only 44 percent of registered voters — a mere plurality — now view capitalism positively. Previous NBC News polls “showed slim majorities viewing capitalism positively.”
Just seeing what the American people are inundated with on a day-to-day basis by rich media hacks denigrating the very system that gave them their prosperity in the first place.

When economic conditions are bad capitalism looks bad but capitalism is resilient if allowed to thrive.
The damage done to this country is massive after years of Progressive leftism and communist infiltration, but Anyone who believes these polls is a complete idiot.
Blame public school teachers and university professors.
As with all propaganda -- as we have been watching dueling propaganda in the Ukraine-Russia war, with both sides busy claiming things accompanied by name calling and the like -- this is the Leftists' media war on the United States. Propaganda.
One thousand opinions do not make a sufficient sample to conclude anything, and so the "methodology" is to include the propaganda:
"The margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points."That itself is propaganda, in the "nudging" parlance of Cass Sunstein" or the :manufacturing consent" as Chomsky notes, or Pelosi's games of wrap up smears and astroturf.
Push polling. Statistics-ish. But not a good enough sample to do anything except justify some BS headlines. Propaganda. Adam Smith's lesson to us is that multiple "invisible hands" of the marketplace will always "correct." In that regard, NBC itself is in trouble. As one reads recently: "... cable networks are a drag on the bottom line. In the space of a lifetime, the networks went from upstarts aside a legacy operation like NBC to profitable superstars to castoffs." Who wants to listen to the overpaid castoffs? Tick tock.
Propaganda is not a suitable replacement for reality. Temporary, and then.... Tick tock.
But it’s FREE
Nahhh!
Double Bag BARF Alert!
Makes sense because global capitalism with its open borders and tariff free trade doesn’t work.
Capitalism combined with nationalism is what works:
The problem with socialism is that the least productive people in society make the greatest claim on the collective wealth of that society.
Capitalism allows each individual to have the greatest claim on their own productivity, and whatever excess can be pooled and distributed to the less productive as well. That’s how nations become wealthy.
On the other hand, the “something for nothing” mentality propagated by the media and elites, believes that everybody is a con artist ripping off everybody else — because they have no idea what it means to be productive and a contributing member of a society. They think that anybody who isn’t taking as much as possible (free) from everybody else is a fool — and must be told what to chant in their protests and riots to demand even more than their fair share.
But without personal responsibility, discipline, and regard for fair exchange, everybody ultimately ends up on the streets with nothing — but their incessant demands on the productive and responsible in any society.
Not surprising, the drones of the media and celebrity world. are pushing their way to the front of the line while deriding and disparaging the real and legitimate creators of wealth. Capitalism is the accumulation of wealth for a future when it can be enjoyed; socialism allows no such reserve, and so the populace are doomed to a hand-to-mouth existence because the reserve is always raided by those who place themselves at the head of the line for every distribution.
The problem with capitalism is the globalists hijacked it.
It's free market economy, IOW, reality. Calling it capitalism just loads the question with Marxism, AFAIC.
Not just the media. Basically, few even know what “capitalism” (a fake word invented by Marx), refers to, or how it creates wealth. This stands as an indictment of the catastrophically malfeasant education establishment as well.
All the hand wringing about the pernicious legacy media is overdone. Their day is over.
