this kind of stuff is why I don’t want the Left to get her scalp. Of course her seat is also a “placeholder” to keep the Democrats from being able to get a numerical majority to control committees, etc. so there is a pragmatic reason as well. She is not, and will never be, a reliable conservative vote, though there are times her vote has been crucial to getting something passed for us (unfortunately for the other side as well at times - but would never be for us with a Dem). She’s also never pretended to be a conservative and has always been up front and honest about her philosophy.
