AGREED.
We should pray that before they pass that they are “right” with Jesus. The MOST IMPORTANT THING! The difference between eternity in heaven with Jesus and eternity of torment in hell.
“right” with Jesus means that you have prayed a sinner’s prayer. Not that you go to church, not that you “believe” in Jesus, not that you were baptized.
Example:
“Acknowledge you are a sinner in need of God’s forgiveness, state your belief that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose again, and express your desire to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior to be born again.”
Romans 10:8-13 NKJV
8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Ask Him TODAY, before its too late.
Preach it!
God WANTS to save people. There’s not a thing He could have done more to make that possible except FORCE people into it, but He doesn’t want to force it. That’s not love.
The interesting thing is, much as God wants people saved, He does leave the ultimate decision up to individuals. Some people will sadly NEVER be willing to turn to Him, no matter how much of a taste of hell they get nor if they see the beautiful paradise God has promised for those who love Him.
And who doesn’t want to live in paradise? Well, everyone does, but many refuse to do it on God’s terms.
How tragic!!!
