I've hiked Mt. Lassen two or three times with family. It's a wonderful hike. We used to vacation in Chester many times -- rented houses on the peninsula that juts out into Lake Almanor. It's a great country club area. That's probably where he lives.
Too bad the Dixie fire destroyed the forest around Mt. Lassen. I did not know that.
My wife and I did some good climbs to 8,000 and 6,000 ft this summer in Montana and Idaho. Still going strong at 74.

He uses lava to keep his hands warm.
Scientists finally discovered why the universe is expanding...
it’s trying to get away from Chuck Norris.
Was he on a trail? I climbed Mt Saint Helens...even smaller...and only to the northern rim of the caldera...but it was ash. Step up a foot, sink 8 inches ...repeat...
Ghosts sit around the campfire telling Chuck Norris stories.
When Chuck Norris does pushups, he is shoving the earth away from himself.
One time a state trooper pulled Chuck Norris over. Chuck let him off with a warning.
The volcano saw Chuck Norris and immediately became a sink hole.
