Gotta figure if it’s a public company the insiders may have heavily shorted the stock and dumped assets prior to the PR disaster. Most companies have multiple layers of ownership, not all of which are responsible to their fiduciary responsibilities.
It’s called fraud and graft. No longer enforced for the benefit of people but for the benefit of corporations.
