I thought it was orivate. If that’s the case that it is public, then if they made it on their own in social media, first amendment would apparently apply. That’s a tough one in trying to get rid of them.
The professors have tenure, at least some of them do, so they are on the university dole for life.
The way some departments deal with troublesome professors is to assign them less desirable teaching positions or schedule no classes at all for them.
When I was an undergraduate we had a professor who was left teaching obscure classes nobody was interested in (chemistry of olfaction was one). He wasn’t troublesome but he was underperforming in grants, research and teaching ability.
It would be interesting to see what standards Clemson sets for professors and workers. There is usually caveat that certain conduct is not permitted. This usually includes what is said or written.
“Yeah, well government funding should NEVER have been given to colleges and universities in the first place. It’s not a power of the federal government enumerated in the Constitution.”
You are absolutely correct!
I went to privately funded universities.
I did not have to endure the BS Democrat
run schools put their kids through.
I learned skills that you Democrats can’t
even imagine, because they are anti-ethical
to your FEELINGS!

My darn school here.
And they LOST today - showing a Charlie Curse follows those who curse him.
“Professor”, “University”
What could possibly go wrong?? /s
Anyone sending little Johnny or Susie to these murdering communist endocrination sites is pissing good money down a bad drain.
Clemson had no right to taxpayer money.
Well said.
At all.
My friends think Joe Paterno. On one night 4 football players got into a bar fight. Because there was no ‘leadership’ amongst the 4 he made the whole team clean the stadium after the game. I see the same thing here. Is it for effect?
Hiroshima/Nagasaki. The sheep paid the price as the ‘leadership’ led them down the wrong road.
Clemson is a land grant university as are many others - 106 in total.
Go back to the original mission statement. The land-grant law specified the mission of these institutions: to focus on the teaching of practical agriculture, science, military science, and engineering—although “without excluding other scientific and classical studies. Shed every college\department that doesn’t fit closely with the original mission.
The main mission now of land grant schools is to provide Saturday afternoon sports entertainment. It has a minor education function but its kept in the background so it doesn’t get in the way of the main entertainment function.
Since “education” is in the background look what its gotten away with! Much of this is our own fault we only pay attention when the “sports part” wins\loses. State legislatures are generally fine with what goes on as long as they get good seats!
