Exactly!

The smallest of towns, in Texas, have high school football stadiums (and campuses) that would make MANY colleges envious.

HUGE Jumbrotrons and scoreboards, fancy stadium seating, etc.

We drove by my old high school, last year, and, noticed a HUGE, spendy scoreboard in the same, tiny stadium...with several really nice, new athletic buildings in the immediate area.

I remember when Ratliff Stadium was new (1982), and it was only used for 1 high school (Permian), while the other high school (Odessa High) had its own stadium (a very crappy one).
I believe that both use Ratliff now.
