A groundbreaking study reveals racial bias in jury convictions, “When we break down this study we find that
- Black juries have a 12% conviction rate against black defendants, vs a 59% against whites. So that indicates that there is a 47% interracial bias when you have black jurors
- White juries have a 33% conviction rate against white defendants, vs a 26% against blacks, which actually demonstrates a negative 7% interracial bias
Meaning whites are more likely to convict their co-racial group than they are to convict somebody across racial lines
Whereas black juries have a 12% conviction rate against their own and a 59% conviction rate against white people

Sounds like black juries are racist against white people.
That's not racism, its the truth, blacks are racist.
There are no Asian criminals?
I have the view that “jury of your peers” is supposed to mean people of good standing, morals, and similar, since the person on trial is supposed to be assumed innocent until proven guilty.
jury of peers likely never was intended to mean “looks like you”.
I was caught in several race riots in the first year of integration in schools. I was twice knocked completely unconscious in what is now called the knockout game. While I’ve known a handful of amazing black professionals in my career, my take on the average black you’ll meet on the street is to stay well clear and keep an eye on him. Prejudice is another word for learned response. You’d be an idiot not to remain hyper aware of your surroundings in, say, the Walmart parking lot. Having said that, I believe I can put that aside and evaluate the evidence. If the prosecution can make the case, then I’ll convict. If it comes down to the word of a cop, regardless of the cop’s color, I’ll go with the cop.
By the way, I believe those two incidents in high school have left me with some permanent damage. The level of what I’ll call “natural cultural violence” was exponentially higher in the black teenagers than in all the nasty whites I had ever encountered. There were razor slashings and two murders. In all the white-on-white fights I never saw or heard of a weapon being used.
They use the word juries, not jurors. How often is a jury all black or all white? This study sounds messed up. They aren’t tracking what a jury does the vast majority of times when juries are mixed?
Yet another study giving the lie to the old “only whites can be racist” canard.

I haven’t received a jury summons since I became a Trump donor almost a decade ago.
Neither has hubby.
Are Trump donors being weeded out of jury pools...?
Inquiring minds want to know.
BTW, crime stats suggest that victims of crime tend to be victimized by a perp/s with a similar skin color.
High conviction rates of defendants of color from juries with people who look like the perp, well, that doesn’t surprise me at all.

Breaking it down further to black males between 15 and 30... you have about 2% of the population committing half the violent crimes.

Now that I think about it, neither have I. I mean, I also relocated from California to Michigan, but I retired and became a home-owner... you'd think I'd be an ideal candidate. But nope. Crickets.
And I’m a voting life long registered Dem.
I haven’t voted that way since 1998, but presumably the people sending out jury summons wouldn’t know that...
So how is that neither I nor my hubby, who is a registered Pubbie, have received a jury summons in years?

I watched Houston transition instantly during integration, the peaceful public spaces, public events, night time events, parks, and neighborhoods quickly changed to what people know today.
Locked doors and windows, gun safes instead of a display rack in the living room with the windows left open during the day as the house was empty, locked cars, fences, guard dogs, even bicycles having to be locked up rather than staying wherever you put them or left them overnight.

When the media hammers home racial disparities proving systemic white racism in stats involving traffic stops, prison, bank loan approval, foreclosures, income, etc., I always ask, if it is racism, then what are the stats for oriental Americans?
If you examine all the stats, evidently America is surprisingly racist against whites, blacks, and Hispanics and in favor of Asians and orientals, or else people are drawing the wrong conclusions by just looking at those numbers.
I doubt if anyone with one neuron still firing is surprised by this.
Most juries are clown shows. Clowns trying to play God. They are worse than U.S. Dipstick “judges” in the far-left’s ACME Judiciary Tree House Club.
