Is California still trying to force everyone into EV's? How dependable is the power there?
My wife and I have both an EV car and a gas pickup in part because I don't want all of our transportation eggs in one basket. If the Dims mess up our access to gasoline, we have an EV. If the Dims mess up our access to power, we have the gas pickup. But that's feasible only for certain use cases (i.e. we can charge at home, and we drive tons of miles -- enough for the gas savings to be worth the extra costs of an EV).
Yes on EVs - unfortunately, California is a huge state, and a lot of us drive long distances to work and to visit relatives - EVs are extremely inconvenient for us.
My cousin drives a Tesla and complains constantly and bitterly about not enough charging stations, broken chargers, having to wait a long time to use one, or just having to wait for a long time to “fill up” and be on his way.
My sister bought a small EV to drive around town, it has a 40 mile limit and she is perfectly fine with that - it also plugs into a regular outlet in the garage. EVs are great for that.
Newsom and his “Green Energy” policies declared war on the internal combustion engine.
