Several of the major agencies have several deputies who answer to the Cabinet Secretary at the top, as Kash is of the FBI. The Pentagon has five or six (called undersecretaries of defense) who answer to the SecDef, for one instance. Thanks. I was just a little curious about the title "co-Deputy" as I don't ever remember hearing it specifically used as a title in a government office. In common usage, one top official usually command one or more Deputies (as in law enforcement and some fire departments), but never, as far as I know, "co-Deputies".

never, as far as I know, "co-Deputies".It is an innovation in the FBI. One of the great comments upthread was that the series of lib/prog abuses of our Constitutional order have taken a century to amass, and need more key leaders to unravel. I hope this works well for the agency and the People.
