(My bet is that he gets rolled up in all thats coming out.)
I believe he will. He was in on getting rid of General Flynn in the beginning of Trump’s first term. It all went downhill after that.
My read is . . . anyone is going to follow persistent and loud advice he is getting when it is aligned with what that anyone wants.
The Euros are in Zelensky’s ear non stop to take the hardline. Trump will be in his ear telling him to do things he doesn’t want to do.
He’s going to listen to the Euros.
Russia will continue to advance. Talk will restart about Bone Breaking Sanctions and next thing you know China shuts off neodymium magnet shipments. Not just the current 60% reduction. 100% reduction. And they may ramp up more Russian oil buys. Why would they not?
No China deal has happened so far even without these secondary sanctions. Why would anyone believe such a thing would ease the path to a deal.
And then the transactional President stops, looks at the situation, and asks . . . how do these secondary sanctions make more money for the US? The response will be — they are not intended to. They are intended to blah blah.
And then it is time to repeat that question — how do they make more money for the US?
