Boasberg must be scrambling to save what's left of his integrity after having a writ of mandamus filed against him.

He's the Chief Judge of the DC District Court, so he's afraid of losing that position, as well as facing pressure to step down altogether.

Nobody is going to want a case before him after being rebuked by the appellate court like he was.
