Cute little thing! Sheāll be a champion if she isnāt already
Well, she’s riding a very high quality barrel racing horse that would do those barrels without a rider. Looks like dad could barely contain it from taking off prematurely.
And that horse didnāt come cheap.
There is no ākidā barrel racing. Itās the same course and a real horse regardless of the rider. Iām always impressed when I see kids doing that race! Early adrenaline junkies for sure!!
I am lucky that I survived my childhood. I grew up with horses and cows. My teachers were always pulling me aside because they were convinced that my parents were beating me when I came to school with bumps, bruises and sometimes more serious injuries. But they were mostly from falling off of horses and sometimes cows or bulls or getting kicked or butted.
But they were a friendly bunch of farm animals. When we jumped bareback on the back of one of them in the lower pasture and they took off full speed toward the barn, they would usually come back and nuzzle us with their noses if we were lying motionless on the ground. “Hey kid are you OK?”
One time we were watching boxing on television, and I said, “I wonder what it feels like to be knocked out.” Everyone in my family started laughing, because I didn’t have any memory of the many times that I had head injuries that were serious enough to knock me out.
Horses are dangerous, especially to almost completely unsupervised children but they can be a lot of fun.
Why take away from the joy and sense of accomplishment of that little girl
Those morons wouldāve cheered if she had fallen off and been trampledā¦.
Riding pigs can also be fun to ride when you are a kid. They squeal and you are closer to the ground when you fall off.

Not only that, the pigpen provides for a softer landing...
Sheās amazing! ā¤ļø Just took the grandkids to the rodeo. They brought home a duck and angora rabbit from the critter scramble. They visit a couple times a week but now try to come daily to check on Popcorn and Aflac.
Actually, posted below is a clip of a 5 year old black girl doing the same cloverleaf pattern. Far more impressive and a much better rider. The 6 year old is staying on Dadās hot horse who knows the pattern very well and then sending the horse home, the 5 year old is actually riding.
she is having the time of her life
what is with all the eeyores?
posted below is a clip

That horse would run those barrels by itself. Cute girl, most barrel racing girls are cute, but she’s just holding on. You want to see some great barrel racing show video of her big sister or revisit her in about 8-10 years.
The problem when trying to ride pigs in their pig pen is that they quickly learn to scrape you off their backs by running through their pig house. The fun rides are from when they have somehow escaped, and you are trying to get them back into their pigpens.
That’s a lot of horse, who obviously loves the game as much as she does.
“Scarlet, looks like Bonnie Blue dropped her hat!”
Not even tall enough to ride ‘adult’ rides at many amusement parks..

Maybe some day. But she isn’t barrel racing competitively riding like that. The horse is just running around the barrels and not digging in to get traction and brushing the barrels while cutting around them. Lot of room between the horse and the barrels. As she gets older and stronger, and if she stays with it, she’ll get competitive.
Had a friend that was racing nationally years ago and she finally stopped when she spent more time showing, “western.” Safer and less demanding for time and physical exertion.

She sure seems to fit on that horse, while the horse may be doing rote, she seems melded to the horse as a team and as a boss.
How well do you think she is handling the horse?
