I find it ironic that they fear for their “careers” if they sign the letter.

If their concerns were truly serious and they had an ounce of patriotism, wouldn’t they sign the letter anyway?

This is like that fat Urkrainian agent that tried to sink Trump for some phone call.

Handy of them to identify themselves so they can be discharged.

And then on to Leavenworth.

The Cold War ended in 1991. We should have reduced the size of our military by 50%, focus mostly on the Navy and the Air Force.

Poppy Bush and his Howdy Doody sidekick Dork Cheney and their successors Clinton clowns Aspin/Perry in 1993 did reduce our military. They called for cuts in End Troop Strength, active duty airwings, ships, bases, you name it they closed it, ended it, or decommissioned it at the expense of our national defense capabilities. All this to the point where two critical ships could not get underway at 9/11 due to readiness issues caused solely by funding cutbacks on maintenance from the Poppy Bush/Clinton terms all 5 terms. Then OBozo put the nail in the coffin of it and Biden then buried it.

Our military being well manned, well maintained, well supplied, well disciplined, and well armed is a Constitutional Duty of federal government. Bush/Clinton year wrecked our military. It has yet to recover. It has been in a modified wartime deployment status ever since those cuts were made. One of the dumbest moves was appointing Rummy Sec of DEF twice. He and Cheney could be called Dumb & Dumber. Before our current SEc of Def the last competent one was Cap. His term turned our military around in short order from Chaos to the Cold War winning military only to have Da Bushes, Clinton, Obama, and Biden destroy it.

Only by 35%, I would have done more.

And I would have focused on trading with Russia. Had we done more on that, Russia wouldn't have ended up with Putin. Here we are today.

We've made many mistakes in the '90s.

We don't need a surveillance state and we are dealing with that today.

And we don't need a large standing army. I don't think our Founding Fathers wanted us to have all of this.

Do what we had to do during the Cold War. Once it's over, dismantle everything except for a bunch of nukes, ships and planes.

Attendees jointly decided to give themselves a few months to agree on the wording of a joint letter that they would either send to the news media, run as an ad in a major newspaper or launch online via social media or a newly created web site.

Uh, for uniformed officers there is a word for that. It is called mutiny.

I would prefer a large number of reservists kept up to date with annual training and evaluation.

How do we know this is happening?
People can say anything! Plus people can be mistaken. Need another independent reliable source.

Embracing China and giving them even a penny in trade did far more damage to us in all aspects than our post Cold War policies with Russia. No large Army? Consider this. Every China Freighter and transport ship is owned by the military aka Chinese government. Their army loaded onto those ships could bring a land invasion to north America unprecedented in number and strength ever. One thing I learned my first few months in the Navy. I could stand on the ship and watch Chinese merchant ships go right by us. We closed so many Naval Bases that 5 of our 11 aircraft carriers now homeport out of the same city on the east coast. Their sole surviving CV ship builder just across the river. If you think 11 is plenty then you know very little about what it takes to keep them deployable and mandatory downtime required to do so. Each one operates on a six month training work up period, a seven month deployment period, a 3-4 month shipyard period and repeat that two more times then a mandatory one year overhaul. Short cut it and bad things happen. Oh and of the 11 carriers one will be in a 5 year long overhaul/refueling down time. We are bare bones now and having an all Nuclear propulsion plant carrier fleet makes the margin for disaster very thin indeed.

I would dismantle the U.S. Army. But I'll transfer their units to the National Guard.

You mean on Drudge Report? He hasn’t been with that for at least five years.

Who is running it now?

For the officers, level unaccompanied PCS overseas in the "minor" base while slotted in a downgraded role. Promotion for them will be a pipedream as well. Pentagon staff members, well just create another position via restructuring and nuke the current position they reside in while giving the middle-finger to the adjudicating clown trying to defend the traitors.

“Who is running it now?”

I don’t really know. When Drudge went off the rails maybe ten years ago I stopped paying attention to the liberal rag.

I guess he sold it for a big ton of money.

What specific allegations do they make against Hegseth? How about examples of his “incompetence”. Got rid of trannies? Emphasizes combat readiness over DEI? Decided against the Navy’s fighter? If they have real concerns, let’s hear them.

Pulled out of Afghanistan with no plan except to meet a Biden photo op political deadline, got 13 Marines killed in a chaotic terrorist attack, mistakenly killed an entire Afghan family in retaliation, and left thousands of Afghans behind who worked with Americans, plus $8 Billion in US weapons and a fully functional base?

Wait…nope…not Hegseth

Ordered US military to participate in a mass medical experiment or be separated from service?

Nope, also not Hegseth.

I say get rid of EVERY one in the Pentagon that was promoted to O-7 or above by 0bama or Biden. Then you can start filtering out the 0-6s that are leftists / globalists. Work your way down from there.

You might get rid of a few actual American Patriots as collateral damage, but it would probably be worth it.
