No place in the constitution does it allow for the government funding their own news agency. Period.

“ They were wrong, and so are the conservatives who want to defund public media.”
There’s no Constitutional authorization for such spending.
End it.

well, in that case, NYT should be happy about that, right?

When they say defunding the police they mean defunding the KGB.

Yes. Because it gets no Federal funding and the rules that entails. The $ isn’t worth the trouble.

No need for public radio, I listen to what I want when I want on streaming radio both at home and in my car. For a few bucks a month I get my music commercial free.

Per the headline, it would be like and kind if all of US police enforcement were loyal democrats.
To: JV3MRC
That might be the stupidest suggestion this month.

I wish the NYT could be defunded, along with the Washington Post, etc.
Well, it's difficult to remember and appreciate on a daily basis, but they have been - to an extreme degree.
When newspapers were king, and ad sales were like rivers of cash - we were lost in a sea of political propaganda and gaslighting.
At one time the leftist media was like a steamroller and conservatism was a possum on the road.
Now, conservatism looks at the left through a large magnifying glass and is agitated - like a kid waiting for the sun to break through the clouds.
