Ukraine has just over 2 dozen German Gepard anti-air systems, but not much ammunition. Ukraine needs to maintain a surviving number of at least 800 of these systems, and several millions of rounds of ammunition. But Ukraine has barely been able to get some thousands of rounds of ammunition, sporadically:

IIRC, Repkon (Mesquite, TX) Line 1 was supposed to be producing 2,500 155mm artillery shell parts per month, by June 15th. Or at least, that was the story 1 year ago. After 3 years of war, western countries promising ammunition, continue to fumble production. It seems.

“several millions of rounds of ammunition”

The German-made rounds are about $600/each.

Ukraine makes much of the basic warfighting stuff itself.
