Money talks. Many of the communists no longer believe in Communist orthodoxy (the Red Chinese in particular are already heretical: Socialism in one country is NOT Marxist.
No higher morality, corruption is rife. The revolution eats its own. "Moderate" there does not mean Hubert Humphrey of Mitt Romney.
