Yeah, decades ago... I recall reading about a woman vacationing in Mexico (Cancun, Acapulco?) with her husband. She had no situational awareness of the kind of country Mexico was, even back then. So she decided to leave the hotel and go for an early morning walk (or jog) by herself. Woman power, dontcha know. Got attacked by a drunken scumbag on the beach who raped and killed her. I had to shake my head in wonder. Even in my 20s, I knew stuff like that could happen, which is why I always carried. Always. Some folks are blind to reality, perhaps willfully so.
Since you are on this. forum, I assume you are not a liberal woman. White liberal women are the worst, politically. I was one, when young, and during a difficult situation involving a lawsuit (which I eventually won), I got mugged by reality and became a conservative. But along the way, I had to be taught by a counselor to think instead of feel when evaluating situations involving more than one person (myself). Such valuable lessons!
