So sick of hearing about how thank God nothing big happened that day; by the grace of God, etc., But the Comperatore family is still grieving. Lara Trump did an entire interview with her father-in-law last night and this family wasn’t mentioned at all. The Trumps are being kind of selfish in this respect.

I think that’s why they’re dropping it so easily, since Trump himself came out OK. But if my father or husband was the one killed, I sure wouldn’t let it go.

Everyone with a brain knows that a sniper was sighted and the SS allowed him take shots at the POTUS. The missed shots killed another innocent man and wounded others. Every SS agent that was there should be fired and investigated until we find out exactly why they were standing down. Because they all did stand down until it would have been way too late.

The excuses they’ve made so far are absolutely unacceptable.

Comments of brilliance worth repeating:

"Everyone with a brain knows that a sniper was sighted and the SS allowed him take shots at the POTUS. The missed shots killed another innocent man and wounded others. Every SS agent that was there should be fired and investigated until we find out exactly why they were standing down."

I saw images of the widow overlooking Thomas Crooks' sniper perch including the air conditioning units and the drainage pipe he used to climb to the roof. This would have been the perfect observation window that would have avoided being on a hot roof. There were also clues that would have indicated something was going to happen on that roof, including a ladder positioned to that roof that was used by officers to climb onto the roof after the shooting (instead, Crooks used the air conditioners). Local police noticed Crooks more than an hour before the shooting. He was looking at sniper positions and examining the stage through a gun rangefinder. Finally, an officer climbed up to the roof and locked eyes with Crooks before jumping down. What happened to his warning about the gunman to the Secret Service before the shooting?

This tells me that the U.S. Secret Service knew about the signs that the roof was going to be used and they were going to let it happen. I suspect (even though I'm almost positive) our Secret Service used useful neglect to take out Trump. The Deep State wanted Trump gone.

Isn’t Curren the guy standing beside Trump with the sunglasses on when Trump raised his arm and pumped “Fight, fight, fight”?

I hope I am wrong

True, true and true... All of what you said is true, and there’s a lot more. That no one was fired is amazing, the director resigned after a week or so but that doesn’t count. Why can’t the govt ever really investigate itself or fix anything?

Don’t answer that because I already know the answer full well.

I believe Bongino should have been put in as director of the FBI instead of Patel.

I think the common man believes the SS will assist in assassinating President Trump. I think I would rather sell cheap wine at a 7-11 than continue association and employment with the SS. What happened to the SS?

He signed off on the security plan. So now you suddenly think the security plan was okay?

There are still more questions that need to be asked and answered before I am willing to go down this road.

  1. Does "signed off" mean what you suggest that it means?"

Did Curry have veto power over the plan, or was he just the detail leader? If Curran didn't have veto power, they he didn't "sign off" on the plan, he only acknowledged that he had seen the plan and understood his duties and responsibilities.

  2. The entire security detail included an agent in charge, an advance team that pre-scouted the scene, a commander at the operations center, coordinators at the operations center to handle cross-communications with local law enforcement, a sniper detail, a drone operator, and roving agents in the field. Was Curran in charge of all of these people? If not, then he did not "sign off" on the plan, he only acknowledged that he had seen the plan and understood his duties and responsibilities.

  3. There were reports that the security team requested additional resources and was denied. They requested additional drones and was denied. They requested more experienced agents and was denied. Was it Curran who made those requests or someone else?

I did an AI search on these questions. For question #3, the response was the acknowledgement that these requests were made and denied by Secret Service headquarters, but there are no reported names of the people who made the requests or who specifically denied them.

For question #2, the response was that Sean Curran was Special Agent in Charge of the Presidential Protective Detail (PPD) and had significant operational authority over the immediate team protecting the president. He could raise objections, request changes, and escalate concerns about security plans. He had the ability to halt or delay a movement or event if he perceived an imminent threat or a critical flaw in the immediate security posture.

For question #1, the agent in charge (such as the Special Agent in Charge of the protective detail) is required to acknowledge that they have reviewed the security plan and understand their responsibilities and accountabilities for the event. Ultimate veto authority over the entire operation, including strategic resource allocation, major changes to security posture, and approval of plans, resided with Secret Service headquarters and senior leadership. If a detail leader like Curran believed a plan was inadequate, he could formally object and escalate the issue, but headquarters had the final say on whether to implement changes or provide additional resources.

So, Sean Curran was the top-ranking agent for Trump’s immediate protection and played a significant role in coordinating the broader security operation, but he was not the sole commander of every specialized team or the entire protective apparatus. His authority was substantial at the event level, but ultimate operational control is distributed across multiple layers within the Secret Service.

Curran’s role required him to review, acknowledge, and execute the security plan for the event. He could raise objections or escalate concerns, but he did not have unilateral authority to approve or veto the entire plan if headquarters had already made determinations about resources or strategic posture.

In my opinion, Curran did not "sign off" on the whole operation, as the GP article is suggesting.

"the director resigned after a week or so . . ."

Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned rather than answer questions. This is the type of cop-out one would use if there was serious incriminating evidence. Why the Trump team hasn't pounced on this treasonous action is an indication of how well it has been hidden.
