-- The issue at hand is not "an immigrant problem"; it is an "illegal alien problem".
-- The terms "immigrant" and "illegal alien" are not synonymous; the terms "undocumented immigrant" and "illegal alien" are synonymous.
-- The U.S. is not "a nation of immigrants"; the U.S. is "a nation of citizens".
-- Based on our Judeo-Christian values, citizens and non-citizens in the U.S. have "human rights"; only U.S. citizens have "Constitutional rights".
-- The new ICE facility in Florida is not a "detention center" nor is it a "prison"; it is an "illegal alien processing facility" to facilitate the enforcement of U.S. immigration laws and regulations.
-- Identifying, arresting and deporting people who have illegally entererd our country is not a "kidnapping", it is a "legally-conducted, humanitarian program" to return people to their home country, thereby alleviating their "fear" of living illegally in the U.S.
In the olden days a superhero movie was filmed on a bare bones budget, chintzy special effects, black and white, and played as the second run feature below HERCULES AND THE AMAZON WOMEN at a drive in theater.
Now they are given Big Budgets, great special effects and have taken over the movie theaters.
Our 6- Plex theater shows two or three Superhero movies, 2 SI-FI movies and a kiddie show.
Gone are the days of Great Movies before then 1970s when the movie industry dumped the Hays Code and went to a “ratings” system of GMRX. Some movies had scenes reshot to add most vile cursing, blood and guts, sex, lots of sex to get the then coveted “R” and “X” rating.
Haven’t been to a theater since 2010 to see the remake of True Grit.
Just stumbled across this, from 2018, and even considering the source, some food for thought. Wowza. This is the guy they hired to helm the return of an iconic American comic book hero...
There is a lot to unpack there.
