Rush Limbaugh and before him William Buckley set the tone for American conservatism for over half a century. With both gone, the conservative movement has fractured into several factions: MTG being alt-right and Levin being a Cold War vintage conservative. Then you have libertarians, populists, etc. Trump has held them together politically but not ideologically. He will be gone in three and one half years.
