That is a very compelling and comprehensive report. To summarize: Catholics do not know what God wants from them and when they have the slightest inkling of what He wants from them, they respond halfheartedly (sometimes quarterheartedly).

It means that, rejecting the the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed (which is Scripture, and with Acts through Revelation especially revealing how the NT church understood the gospels), then they either do what the Encyclical of Pope Pius X Vehementer Nos requires (the one duty of the multitude is to allow themselves to be led, and, like a docile flock, to follow the Pastors) which they teach by word and deed, the latter being interpretive of the former, thus when the pastors go South, so do their followers;

Beyond that are the majority of Western Catholics who provide the perfunctory professions, at least twice a year, and are more liberal than even the majority of RC leadership, but which affirms them and even proabortion, prohomosexual public figures as members in life and in death (showing the Vatican's understanding of canon law).

Or they essentially react like evangelical "Bible Christians" are to, as regards ascertaining the veracity of pastoral teaching in the light of its conformity with past church teaching, except that in the case of RC's, their definitive source is mainly selective portions of pre-modern RC teaching, which itself as a body is interpretive of Scripture.

Which, contrary to the unity of docile sheep submission, has resulted in a myriad of TradCath sects and schisms, ranging from those who reject all modern popes since the death of Pope Pius XII in 1958 (“sedevacantism,”from the Latin “sede vacante,” meaning “vacant seat”) and aspects of modern "clarifications" which they see to be in conflict with past RC teaching, deploring Vatican Two and modern encyclicals as authoritative, to those who disallow late pope Francis as being a valid pope, and take issue with some parts of Vatican Two and the current Catechism, and among other modern teaching.

Whether you realize it or not, whether you agree or not, whether you care or not, the fundamental criteria, especially in this period of the great apostasy before the manifestation of the Antichrist, which will determine if we end up with God or Satan for eternity, is HUMILITY! It is not intelligence or thinking we know more than everyone else.

I'd say it is faith in Christ that is the fundamental criteria.

It's not pride that we note we are saved...it's a very humbling thing when one considers that God chose you for salvation. When one looks at it from that perspective one quickly loses any sense of pride in this matter and should be expressing profound thankfulness.

Salvation is a work of God, beginning to end.

We can't even desire to come to God unless He enlightens us and draws us.

As for works.....

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

It could not be more clear that works do not enter the equation in regard to us getting saved.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Yup, God has a plan for us that includes opportunities to minister to others and share Christ with others. And we have opportunities that no one else can do.

And....

Galatians 2:15-21 We ourselves are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners; yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

But if, in our endeavor to be justified in Christ, we too were found to be sinners, is Christ then a servant of sin? Certainly not! For if I rebuild what I tore down, I prove myself to be a transgressor. For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness were through the law, then Christ died for no purpose.

And lastly......

Galatians 3:1-6 O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? It was before your eyes that Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified. Let me ask you only this: Did you receive the Spirit by works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of mine own, even that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.

If works don't get us saved, they can't keep us saved either. Likewise lack of works does not result in loss of salvation. It's just an indicator that the person needs to consider their true spiritual state VERY carefully to make sure they have saving faith.

It's a barometer.

The barometer going up or down doesn't cause the air pressure to change. It simply records and reveals what is already the fact.

If it makes you feel better, in this period of the great apostasy (2Thess 2:3) and of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21), a great number of Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals do not have true humility which is the foundation for the other virtues. Thus these Catholic clerics will end up in hell for all eternity!

But this great sin of pride is the basic element of the great apostasy today. These arrogant priests, bishops and cardinals have made themselves the source of all truth and do not have the humility to seek the truth outside of themselves. As explained in the article, the Truth comes from God not from the Catholic Church or from any other church or person. Jesus Christ is the Truth (Jn 14:6)!!!

But since so many believe they can interpret the truth according to themselves Christ founded ONE Church which He promised that the Holy Spirit would guide until the end of time. For this reason, the first target of Satan is to destroy the Catholic Church, which has been infiltrated by many puppets of Satan to change the doctrine in very sly and hidden ways.

Certainly, faith is needed to be saved. But without humility, true faith is impossible. Humility is the foundation without which, as St. Augustine points out: “The soul in which this virtue does not exist, there cannot be any other virtue except in mere appearance.”

These arrogant Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals will not be alone in hell!!!

The true interpretation of Divine Revelation, which includes Sacred Scripture, is found in the documents of the ONE Church that Jesus Christ founded, not in the subjectivity of each Christian or in the subjectivity of each independent Christian group. This is why Catholics, who fall into this devastating trap of subjectively deciding for themselves the truth and the interpretation of the truth even in Sacred Scripture, do not have true HUMILITY and thus there is no room for God in their hearts and souls. This is why protestants have no guarantee of interpreting the Sacred Scriptures according to God, but rather according to themselves. This is why there is no unity in faith, morals and doctrine among protestants and independent protestant groups, even regarding very important and fundamental truths of God, which do not change with the world.

Do we believe that we can make it to heaven without imitating Christ crucified to overcome our egoism and to learn to truly love, without being generous to life (“be fruitful and multiply”; Gen 1:28; 9:1,7; 26:24; 38:8-10; Ps 8:6-9; 127:3-5; Sir 17:2-4; Ex 1:7; Wis 9:2; 10:2; etc.)? WE ARE NOW UNDERGOING THE CHASTISEMENT (Mt 24) of Divine Mercy, as the last chance of conversion (Diary of Saint Faustina, no. 1588), for our rejection and great rebellion against God’s holy and saving laws with “a personage not canonically elected, raised to the Pontificate, (who) will endeavor to administer shrewdly to many the mortal poison of his error!” (The “Prophecy” of Saint Francis (Assisi)”).

This is the real dangerous pride which has led a great number of Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals, and innumerable other people to hell for all eternity!

As the article pointed out, protestantism was founded on this prideful subjectivism and now, in this period of the “great tribulation” and the great apostasy before the manifestation of the Antichrist, Satan will almost succeed in leading the Catholic Church and almost all Catholics into the moral and spiritual devastation of subjectivism and relativism.

Due to their great responsibility before God, the great number of Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals do not have true humility will be the ones most responsible for the great apostasy before the revelation of the Antichrist. So too, the few Catholic priests, bishops and cardinals who do have true humility will be the main catalyst for the purification of the Church and the world before the second coming of Christ.

Whether you believe it or not, the great prophecy of Daniel refers to the Most Holy Eucharist!
3 and a half years of Abomination of Desolation! - Before “the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition (the Antichrist) … only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed…” (2Thess 2:3-8). Above all what is “RESTRAINING” the “man of lawlessness” is the presence of Jesus Christ as the Truth (Jn 14:6) and especially His real presence in the Most Holy Eucharist of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass; Satan seeks to trivialize both so as to deprive us of God’s guidance and His powerful protection and help. Before the manifestation of the Antichrist, “the continual burnt offering” (Dan 8:11; 12:11), will be taken away, and the “sacrifice and offering” will cease (Dan 9:27), which Jesus foretold (Mt 24:15). This sacrilege is the ultimate “ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION” (Mt 24:15; Mk 13:14; 2Thess 2:3-4; Dan 9:27; 11:31)! For the last three and a half years of this period of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21) “the continual burnt offering” (Dan 8:11; 12:11), that is the VALID Holy Mass, THE EUCHARIST, will be TAKEN AWAY, in all the public churches in the world (Dan 12:11; Rev 13:5) (“The Abomination of Desolation”)! I believe that the VALID, Holy Mass, THE EUCHARIST, will be TAKEN AWAY, in a sly and disguised way, in all the public churches in the world in less than two years. After this greatest tribulation in the history of the world, past and future (Mt 24:21), finally all the Catholics, Protestants and non Christians will realize the greatness of the Most Holy Eucharist, and will have great faith, adoration, humility, reverence and love for Jesus truly present in the Eucharist. It would be much better to discover this great Truth about the Eucharist before this period of great tribulation! The only verse in the whole Bible with the number of the Beast, the Antichrist, 666 (Rev 13:18), is when many disciples refused Christ’s teachings on the Eucharist and went away (Jn 6:66)!!!

Thus most of the very few who remain faithful to the uncomfortable truth in this period will later offer with their blood the grace for the conversion of many others so as to arrive to the prophesied one third who will save their immortal souls for all eternity. “The blood of martyrs is the seed of Christians” – Tertullian.

I pray for the salvation of all, but we must have the humility to realize that our own interpretation of the truth and of Sacred Scripture can easily be mistaken in our own subjectivity, because we are not God!!! For this reason Christ founded ONE Church which He promised that the Holy Spirit would guide until the end of time. Jesus wasn’t given to us for us to use Him as a substitute sacrifice for a lamb or goat, or bull.

He offered up His life by His own volition to make the once and for all, final sacrifice for sin that is finished and satisfies God’s justice.

Jesus isn’t being perpetually sacrificed. He’s seated in heaven at the right hand of God, interceding for us according to God’s will and is waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool.

It was Christ Who was on the Cross.
