RE: Just like the college students who need safe spaces to cope. Just a different venue.
Colleges with prominent therapy dog programs: (”PAWS to Relax” is my favorite name for one group.)
Kent State University: Has a well-established program, Dogs on Campus, that has been on campus for over 10 years, visiting with students and providing stress relief.
Alverno College: Collaborated with a local kennel to bring therapy dogs to campus during finals week for stress relief.
Wayne State University: Offers therapy dog programs as part of events to help students cope with the stress of college life.
Emory University and Macalester College: Are examples of institutions that bring dogs to campus for stress relief during exams or allow staff and faculty to bring their pets.
Princeton University and Vanderbilt University: Have programs like Puppies Behind Bars and Paws and Stripes College, which train dogs in shelters and jail programs, bringing them to campus to provide comfort and support.
University of Connecticut: Has a program called Paws to Relax.
University of Minnesota: Has a program called Pet Away Worry & Stress (PAWS).
Miami University: Offers campus-based pet therapy programs.
Washington State University: Has a PAWs4US study examining the impact of regular access to therapy dogs on students’ mental health.
Bucknell University: Offered students the chance to pet dogs during finals week for stress relief.
America has been deliberately infantilized and feminized. Two human characteristics that are very receptive to authoritarian control. A diabolical plan, but effective. It will be nearly impossible to recover.
