Its bite is worse that its bark.
That dog deserves a home!

Thank goodness. Poor baby needs a steak for a month.
Half-grown coyotes? Or normal size for the west?
The one I saw here in the east was bigger.
So glad he got adopted.
This is a pack so it’s likely most or all of them are pups. Coyotes in the west are typically large.
In the Bloggers & Personal forum, on a thread titled Dog fights off pack of 5 coyotes outside Southern California home, heartwood wrote: Half-grown coyotes? Or normal size for the west?

Speaking as a native of the Left Coast, these 'yotes look young and small. Their heads look immature/small and their legs look short, too.
I think I read once that the coyotes here in the East are bigger.
The dog is Trump. The coyotes are the Fake News Media and demonicRAT Party.
That occurred about three miles from where I live. Although I am in a residential and commercial area, we have coyotes. My cat disappeared last year, and I am certain that either a coyote or a car got him. Several other cats in the area have been killed by predators, almost certainly coyotes.
They best not mess with alpha boss King Charles. This dog keeps the peace, never barks, but the pack bows to him.

LOL,
BINGO!
I’m not totally convinced the cayotes were attacking the dog. Seemed a little more playful and not very vicious. Just nipping at each other. Not full on attack. Maybe I’m wrong just my take from the video. Maybe testing to see if he wanted to join their pack.
Still and all, that puppers has a heart the size of Alaska, and it warms the cockles of my heart that he now has a home. A true feel-good story! :-)
While the dog was in the driveway, you can see that the coyotes were maneuvering to get behind him. He was at a fatal disadvantage at that point. But when he got to a point where he had something solid at his back and could keep them in front of him they gave up.
Eastern coyotes do tend to be bigger than western, but these do look small. Common tactic is to send pups to “play” with the dogs and lure them to a place where the pack can kill them. Fortunately for this lab, he didn’t take the bait.
Those are DEFINITELY young. Unusual to see that many young coyotes running together without an adult nearby. Ones I’ve seen here in Texas are quite a bit bigger.
To paraphrase Lincoln’s response to press complaints about Grant’s drinking: “I need this dog; he fights”.
