I have two bird baths on my property. For about a year now I keep them both clean, one with tap water, and one with water from the house dehumidifier. I alternate which is which. The birds will overwhelmingly drink and wash in the one that is not from the tap. I also remove rainwater as a part of the observations.

I also do the same with my Hummingbird feeders. They will feed from the one that isn't from tap water.

I found it interesting.
