“Governor Greg Abbott today announced that the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) found that the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) and affiliated entities have not obtained the required authorizations or permits needed for construction and development of the proposed project. TCEQ sent a letter to EPIC and affiliated entities to notify them that any construction would be in violation of state law and ordered them to confirm that they have not engaged in any construction activities.”

As Lincoln himself said, the Constitution should not be used to destroy the Constitution.

Good for you Governor! At the risk of being called a bigot I’ll tell anyone from the beginning that you can bite me.....these people are taught to hate anything that isn’t what “Allah” has instructed them to do. They’re terrorists at heart and I don’t trust them! This is TEXAS.......live by OUR LAWS or get out!!!

This is all too conveniently a day late and a dollar short. Corruption abounds.

The whole goal of the Moose Limbs is to circumvent any laws or regulations that Whitey makes them do. Plus they just never uphold their own contractual obligations anyway. Wast of time to negotiate or contract with them. They'll just violate any agreements.
They want their own cliques, schools, companies, etc., etc., but heaven forbid we normals have the Freedom of Association guaranteed us in the Bill of Rights. No, normals never get the relief of being left alone with their own. Not so the other side.

Islamists aren’t here to become American. They are here to turn this country into an islamic hellhole.

Islam is a religious cancer.
Period.
Let it lay in the cesspools from which it originated. Europe had to fight hard to remove the stuff.

This project raises some thorny issues. If the Amish or some other group buy some acres of property and use it as a kind of religious colony, most of us have no problem unless the group shows signs of being a dangerous cult. But this involves ownership of a single property, with the owner allowing access to a limited group if zoning laws allow it.
This Texas situation seems different. As I understand it, this involves creation of an entire Muslim city of many thousands of people, and presumably only Muslims will be allowed to live there, and Muslim rules will apply to everyone. Will this entire city remain under the ownership of one person or organization, and will the entire population be their tenants? If not, how can they justify limiting ownership of specific properties to members of one religious group? That would seem blatantly illegal.
