I was in Times Square yesterday morning. Puzzling at the presence of the “CANCUN!” sign. Seemed out of place. As did the Tibetan monk chanting section down by the Levi’s store.

In short, it’s a big place, and there’s always stuff coming and going. This is likely sensationalist crap, and as soon as they stop showing the videos, they’ll remove the statue as well.
