60 Minutes was started by a liberal, Don Hewitt, in 1968—the year Richard Nixon won the Presidential election. By 1972, the DC liberal elite were flush with their victory over Nixon, and have swelled with pride ever since. LIberalism has moved steadily leftward, until its basic premises became, first, unAmerican leftism, and then anti-American global marxism.
It would not trouble me in the slightest if 60 Minutes died and was never resurrected.
