Unfortunately, while active-duty military, you have no recourse when given a direct order.
More typically, refusal to follow the same, results in things arguably worse than getting kicked out. Like Military Prison.
It doesn't work like that in the military. I am sure when I got my first flu shot in 1976 at a Group Commanders call, if I had told Colonel Joska that I didn't feel like taking the shot, my body, my choice, I would have been in Corrective Custody in a heartbeat.
The only question in this case was the unadvised order from the top down, not the right of each commander to give the order.
