In the early years of the illegal alien surge, there were news stories that a large number of vehicle accidents wee caused by illegals—many of whom couldn’t understand sign directions in English, others who had learned to drive properly in their home countries (not just Latino people-—others, too) and none of whom had insurance. Uninsured motorist costs are paid by the honest, law abiding citizens.

Sorry to offend Californians again but....
1) from a discussion site:
I was recently involved in a car accident caused by an undocumented person who did not have a drivers license or insurance. Will they be deported if I file a police report and file a claim with my insurance company?
((Answer no.))

2)
“Undocumented immigrants can seek compensation for car accident injuries.
California law allows undocumented immigrants to obtain car insurance under AB 60.
Immigration status does not determine fault in a car accident.
You cannot be deported simply for being involved in a car accident or filing a lawsuit.”

They should be repatriated to their home countries as soon as they appear on the "radar screens" of ICE - whether that be because they have committed a rape, or become involved in an automobile accident (regardless as to who was at fault), or elected "Employee of the Month."

And I'm not suggesting that any private citizen or enterprise should be forced to perform unpaid law-enforcement duties - but ICE should have liaison officers with all the big car insurance companies. And I hear that the concept of bounties is coming back into fashion, too.

Regards,
