Both NPR and PBS have for *years* been pushing the idea that they can blow off federal funding, because they are so popular. However, this is an obvious bluff, and when there is a serious debate about cutting them off, the left freaks out.

I occasionally listen to NPR for “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me and used to like “Car Talk.” Everything on there is “sponsored” by some DEI loving corporation. It’s absurd to pretend they aren’t supported by commercials.
