Isn’t Rush buried there?
I almost went by there when I went to Eureka Springs a couple years ago.
I lived in Cape for years... nice place.
I don’t know about any tours but if I was there right now I would visit the local White Castle and get a crave crate...lol
Back in the late 60’s Rush (Rusty) was an after school DJ at the local AM station playing top 40 singles. I used to visit the station with a friend who was crazy about radio tech... we were more interested in the transmitter gear than the broadcast staff... there always seemed to be a lot of 45’s scattered all over the floor in the tiny room where the DJ spun the hits. (In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida always seemed to be playing..lol)
There is a self-guided tour. Didn’t have time for the entire things as we needed to head home, but we did find the house he grew up in, which was pretty cool. Cape is a fun town. Been there many times and have always had a good time. There’s a bartender there that was a WWF/WWE ring announcer for years. He’s got some great stories.
Rush was a Free Trader and a Libertarian. He brainwashed good people into be globalists. Not thanks, I wouldn’t be interested.
We lived there in the ‘80s and still go back occasionally since one of our sons lives there.
If you want to see the church that Rush was raised in, you can drive by Centenary Methodist Church at 300 N. Ellis.
It is just one block north of Broadway.
The former pastor once told of how Rush saved the church when it almost had to close due to the financial crash of 2008.
