They’re still mad at the transition to electric curling brooms. Gotta move with the times, fellas...
To: Billthedrill
Holy crap! There is such a thing, and they want $1500 for it.

My wife lived in the hamlet of Claremont, Alberta when we married. All the place had was an old grain elevator, a convenience store/post office, and a curling rink.

Surely there was a regular outdoor hockey rink.

I onlly went there in the late spring (May, June). I didn’t see a hockey rink. A pond probably sufficed for hockey and skating.

At publishing time, the Canadian economists had also warned America that Trump's tariffs would also affect the price of dry, tasteless doughnuts from Tim Hortons.Horror show.

American Tim’s stuff (even in New York) is greatly inferior to the Canadian Tim’s stuff. Although after being disappointed two or three times, I stopped bothering with the southern Tim’s.

Tim Horton’s used to have great donuts.
Haven’t had one in years.

All the years purchasing stuff, I can’t recall a single item purchased that was ‘made in canada’.

What? No Walmart?
A real backwater from nowhere.

Grande Prairie is nearby. A 20 minute drive gets you to Walmart. It is a backwater, nonetheless, unless it boomed from oil sales. I just looked. The population boomed from 1,000 to 5,000. There might be more there, now.
