At dinner tonight, we were talking about those stories we would hear in recurrent. Do you remember the SWA flight that slid off the end of the runway in Burbank and ended up across the street? We heard that 3 exit doors were unusable: 1R slide deployed on top of a fire hydrant, and 2R & L were blocked when the slide pack fell out inside the aft galley and inflated, blocking both doors. The only usable exit was 1L and the overwings.

Here is a B-52 crosswind crab landing. It looks crazy as the aircraft is not perpendicular to the runway center line. But the landing gears are.
