The U.S. Army on Friday released the names of two of the soldiers killed when the military Black Hawk in which they were flying collided with a passenger jet, but said, in an unusual decision, that they were not releasing the third name at the request of the family.

Maybe, maybe not. With them hiding something, it could be that the rumor was true.
Commissioned officer and highest-ranking person on aircraft. I believe this is unprecedented. However, there must be hundreds of soldiers (and WAGS) in her unit and thousands of flight-school and others who have served with her, so I have to imagine it will leak shortly.

Maybe. Someone posted on facebook claiming they were the tranny pilot and they weren't flying the black hawk and they are still alive.
But we don't know more than that.
The rumors were probably wrong, or perhaps it's just the wrong tranny blackhawk pilot which was identified.
Refusing to release a name implies something isn't right.

If you think of the worst reasons for doing this, you’re going to be close to the truth.
The rumor involving the transgender pilot is not true. He/she is alive.
It could be another DEI case.
My first question when seeing this accident was:
Who on that plane or chopper needed to die???

Mortuary affairs soldiers are looking at the manifest of 1 female, and 2 males and wondering why there are 3 peckers.
The Army doesn’t really need to release the name, although they should. A good many people surely know who it was. It will become public at some point, family request or not.
