Nice. Is that a dual edge?

My usual carry mode is a waist pouch that attaches to my belt. It holds my phone also. It is a Maxpedition pouch and my it doesn’t have it’s own belt, it attaches to my belt. Yes, It’s not very fast to deploy, and if i were going into a risky area, I’d wear a regular holster. But it does conceal the gun, and more importantly, here on the ranch, it protects the pistol from dust and rain. Sure, lots of folks will assume I am carrying with this on, but I don’t care. I’m in Texas.

Not dual edged. Mine is even a bit more refined, a gentleman’s pocket knife. I take it out 2-3 times a day for various tasks.

But in an attack situation, I can deploy it in under 1 second, and it trumps everything short of a gun.

Except a stick. I’d rather have a 2.5 foot long hickory or bamboo. Harder to carry, though. ;-)

My training is that you want a suitable handgun for concealed carry and potentially a “less lethal” weapon. A knife is not a less lethal weapon and it is no match for a handgun. Therefore, while a knife can be a handy tool, in a self defense situation it doesn’t deserve to take up space that something lethal (an extra magazine/ammo) or something less lethal (pepper spray/taser) could be stored in.

Just my opinion.
