An idealist might assume the Acting Director wants to let the incoming Director call the shots on something this big.
A cynic might think the Acting Director wants the fate of the Seth Rich material to motivate Dems NOT to confirm Cash Patel.

You don’t think if a link between the DNC and his death is uncovered, it’ll make an impact? It’s been shared that for anyone to download the amount of data, it would have to be within the walls of the DNC vs. the internet. If the chips start falling, the rats will start scurrying.
