Cross out the almost... You have NO rights when crossing a border. They can detain you, take your phone and force you to give them the password, anally probe you, etc., etc.

The sad part, is how many people are dumb enough to carry an unannounced gun, and who the hell at LAX failed to find that gun? That is a very big hole in their security apparatus.

Barry Switzer, August 1997, DFW airport. And it was loaded with the correct ammunition. Of course in Texas most of our duffel bags, backpacks, and paper sacks have at least one pistol in it- so it is more of a matter of forgetting to take it out when you go to the airport.
