I asked Grok to analyze and list potential excessive, concerning, or wasteful spending in the latest 1,547-page spending bill that is currently being fast-tracked.
Here are the results

The pattern I see is funding administrative overhead in a multitude of areas, serving as a jobs program for Democrats in government employment.

There’s a 40% pay increase for congress, 174K to 243K, in this monster.
So much other wasteful crap too.
Remember Speaker Mike Johnson promised no Christmas Omnibus, but here it is, as he lies to the USA again. Because this is not a CR but is an Christmas Omnibus Spending Bill, as it has tons of new spending in it.
These people are drunk on taxpayer monies.
We need a motion to vacate the chair now.

They don’t earn the $174,000 they get now and they dont need to be in Washington DC 2/3 the year either. They need to be in their districts serving their constituents. They could be in session 6 weeks per year and do everything else on zoom calls.

I’ve been against Omnibus Bills since I first learned about them almost 60 years ago.

Let it expire and pick it back up on January 20th. Heck, the government is pretty much shut down until then. And since no one is commuting to work, they cannot say people will be disenfranchised by this.

Yes they would not be accessible to lobbyists in their districts like they are in DC.

There should be a cap at $80,000 or lower.

CongressCritter pay should be capped at no higher than 150% of the average pay for their district. They already get free rooms, flights, all sorts of goodies, they don’t need that much extra pay!
