I understand you 100%. And when I read your post, I was tempted to say I fully admire your politeness and restraint, even though I practice no such things in these matters.
Thing to keep in mind (and you probably know this as well) is that the Left relies on our virtue to keep us from speaking out on these things. They use our own virtue against us as a weapon.
It is a two-fer for them. They get their way, and they get to laugh at us being crushed by our own virtue. It provides them with amusement. They like pushing buttons to see how much they can get away with before we respond as normal, civil people would be expected to.
And at that point, they simply stop pushing the envelope for an unspecified period of time. They simply bide their time and let the new “ boundary” settle into place and solidify.
And in that way, every inch of cultural territory they gain in baiting up to that point with absurd or obscene behavior is territory gained that they will never relinquish. It is a one-way ratchet, so they are incentivized to push the envelope.
