I had a friend grab me a bottle when he was at the Winery two weeks ago. Then I find it is sold at a local liquor sore, which is nice just in case i really like it.
I sent Trump’s website a comment recommending they move his inauguration to Mount Rushmore. Plenty of patriots would come and DC can burn in hell.
“Trump should take the oath in a private ceremony in Mara Lago.” YES. Friends and family only. Let DC stew in their own hysteria and rioting.
Never have and don’t plan on starting now. I’ll get a better view from the comfort of my own home in front of the wood stove.
My son went in 2016 and had a couple premium passes to a couple of the festivities, but I remember him complaining about how they shut down most of the exits and train stops. He walked a mile and a half in a tuxedo.
No, but I took the day off so I could watch every glorious moment.
There are so many red areas in the US now, so it makes sense to throw “inauguration parties” locally. A wide screen TV to show the DC event, along with drinks and good food.
A Family friendly event.
I have a few NH buddies going, but too expensive for me — at least $3,000 for the hotel if staying for weekend plus the balls, etc.
We’ve been looking into hooking up with a charter bus group from TN. There was a tour in 2017, but haven’t seen anything for this January.
“Let DC stew in their own hysteria and rioting.”
Also, let DC lose the millions of dollars they typically haul in for events like this. Let other cities share some of the revenue.
I may very well drag my sorry carcass down DC to watch the festivities. Haven’t decided yet. Missed being a J6er by sheer accident ...
Hubs and I are thinking about it, with another couple we know. Prices are ridiculous but it might be worth it. “Once in a lifetime” and all that.
I was at the Lincoln Memorial Welcome Celebration too. It was wonderful.Ill never forget it.
We went to the Million Women event Oct 12. There were about 350k there with 4-10 million online. The mall was lined with port-o-potties. Probably the same for all major events.
Yessir!!!
I just want for him to get into office alive.
“Too cold. DC can be chilly in January.”
.
.
At JFK’s inauguration, it would have been a welcome warming for me.
That day, it was minus 30° in New Hampshire!

A case of 12 bottles of Trump Meritage 2021 just arrived here last Friday. I'll be toasting too if they last until January.
I sure wish that I could go but I’m too old and sick to make that trip. I’d consider it one of the best highlights of my life.
