To: Leaning Right
Yet I remain optimistic. I just don’t know why.

Long term, I'm pessimistic. The United States will see its 250th birthday. It may or may not observe its 275th birthday (50/50 chance). The country won't make it to its 300th birthday. Too much has been thrown away by two generations and taken for granted.

Which two generations?

I say the boomers are the main culprits. They offshored our manufacturing, technology, tax base, and money, and imported cheap labor, so they could get their tech toys for less.

I agree. Thankfully I'm on the downhill side of life, but something could rise from the ashes of the USA. No nation lasts forever.
